2016 Business & Industry Safety and Environmental Conference

The 2016 Guilford County Business & Industry Safety and Environmental Conference presented by the Guilford County LEPC and Triad ASSE will be held on September 28, 2016 at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex Special Events Center. The agenda contains useful and educational material for members of the safety and environmental industries, as well as first responders. Conference registration is free and lunch is provided. Please join us this year to learn about topics relevant to your work, visit with our vendors, and network with other members of the safety and environmental industries.

Sessions offered will include:

• Safety Track- Corporate Security, OSHA Update (Top 10 Violations), Confined Space Update
• Environmental Track- Hazardous Waste Update, Pending Environmental Regulations and Their Impact on You, Chloramines in Water Treatment
• Emergency Response Track- Highway Tank Trailer Transportation and Emergency Response, OSHA/DOL Compliance for Emergency Response Agencies, Pre-Planning Hazardous Materials Facilities
• All-Inclusive Session- Emergency Response/Private Sector Interaction Panel Discussion

The closing session of the conference will be a safety talk contest. Presentations will be judged on creativity, impact, and timeliness. Be sure to indicate if you are interested in giving a brief, five minute safety talk when you fill out your registration.
