Welcome to the Triad Chapter and to the start of the 2022-2023 year! Our first Chapter meeting is right around the corner. I know as safety professionals, we all are extremely busy, but I hope you can carve out some time monthly to join our meetings, connect with other EHS professionals in the Triad area, and deepen your understanding in our technical meetings. I am awe inspired by the talent and years of experience in our midst. With 146 members, we have a total of 1,466 ASSP membership years of safety experience leading in our places of work, homes, and communities. A third of our members have joined in the last two years, so we are growing and have more opportunities to promote the safety profession in our region.
This year is an election year for our chapter and I want to encourage any of you that might be considering serving as a committee member or just volunteering for the Chapter, to let one of the executive board members know of your interest. We can’t continue to bring new innovative programs and fundraising opportunities unless we introduce new ideas that come from those willing to serve.
