March ASSP Chapter Meeting (Technical Tour)

Topic: Colonial Pipeline Tank Farm Tour

Location: 411 Gallimore Dairy Rd. (Front gate is staffed. You will be directed to main office upon arrival.)

Host and Guide: Mark Hudson

This tour will consist of a safety briefing, a conference room overview of Colonial Pipeline, and a driving tour through the tank farm.  The facility consists of 70+ above ground tanks, associated manifolding, and a control room.

Dress code: No open toed shoes (steel toed preferred but not critical), all natural fiber outer layer clothing, safety glasses and a hard hat (Colonial Pipeline will have a few spare for just in case situations).

Lunch: Golden Corral – buffet immediately following the tour

About the Host and Guide:

Mark has been with Colonial Pipeline for 6 years serving as a Safety Coordinator. Prior to coming to work for the oil refinery industry, he was a health and safety manager for Klienfelder, and employed as a health and safety consultant with the Natural Resource Group.

Mark is a Certified Safety Professional.
