Meet Debbie Talbott, EHS Director at Community Based Care. Debbie grew up in here in Greensboro. She later attended Liberty University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science. She will graduate with her MBA this May.
3 key responsibilities of your job –
- Preparing for and leading the response and recovery of our organization for any manmade or natural disasters.
- Ensuring our Group Homes meet and maintain state and federal regulations.
- ProEnsuring the safety of Homecare workers in multiple states.
What or Who inspires you – My Dad was my hero and biggest inspiration. He led a life of service as a police captain with the Greensboro Police Department and through his work at Church. His influence has strengthened my faith and given me a foundation of hard work, integrity, and a love of helping others.
Most meaningful professional achievement – Going back to school and graduating with my business degree Summa Cum Laude, then being able to pursue my master’s. All while working full-time and traveling for work.
Future career goal or aspiration – I aim to improve my risk management skills and grow with our organization to oversee risk and safety at the executive level.
Go-to comfort food – Mac & Cheese
Hobbies/Enjoy doing outside of work – Travel and reading.
