Topic: Building Safer Workplaces Through Gamification and Virtual Reality

Brief Description: As workplaces grow more complex and the workforce more diverse, traditional classroom training often struggles to prepare employees for real-world safety challenges. Experiential technologies such as virtual reality and gamification are transforming safety training by
allowing people to learn through practice rather than observation alone. This session explores how immersive simulations and game-based learning support skill development, improve confidence, and enhance retention. Attendees will learn how organizations use simulated environments to practice decision-making, hazard recognition, communication, and problem-solving in risk-free settings, while developing critical human capabilities that strengthen safety culture and workforce readiness.

By the end of the session, attendees will be able to explain how experiential learning improves safety performance, identify applications of virtual reality and gamification in safety training, and recognize how immersive learning supports decision-making, emotional intelligence, and workforce readiness.
